Governance - enhanced access logs

Our team are currently reviewing access and back-end user logs, from a governance and security perspective.

As part of this review PeopleScout have advised that certain items reflect on back-end user logs, and that user log reports can be requested for individual users via the HelpDesk (i.e. reflecting any changes a user makes/saves or reports generated).

However the current logs do not capture all user tracking type activities (i.e. if a user simply views a requisiton/job or an individual applicant - including confidential information, without making/saving any changes). From a governance/security perspective, are the current logs able to be extended to capture this type of view only activity?

This expansion would enable for more comprehensive oversight by management? Additionally, it is noted that the current logs and tracking would not be sufficient to identify/monitor any possible overreach in view only access by our users, and therefore may not be able to provide any information to support if an investigation, if required.
