Use a tag as a condition for the rules engine

I want to trigger a rule when a tag exists. For example, if the tag INTERNAL exists on the candidate - trigger an XRTef reference check with the package suitable for internal hires.

Situation - when clients select internal or external on the application form, that data is not 100% accurate. Some candidates that select internal, don't actually meet the criteria for existing employee with that specific client. So the recruiter can review candidates manually, then manually create a tag that appropriately categorises the candidate as an internal or external. Then when a candidate with an internal or external tag enters the reference check folder, the XRef package that is triggered to be sent is appropriate to that internal or external candidate. Saving the recruiter time to avoid having to manually trigger XRef packages to be sent.

Benefits - save time. Helps with inaccurate application form data. Can have one tag that represents many conditions being met so makes it easier to automate a rule when that one tag exists.
